The International Police Association (IPA) is a fraternal non-profit Law Enforcement organization dedicated to promoting friendship and cultural exchange among law enforcement officers and professionals worldwide. With membership comes the opportunity to meet and fellowship with police officers, local, national and international regardless of rank, sex, race, or religion. Additionally, there are opportunities to participate in local and International Police Training. You will also be eligible for IPA Maryland Law Enforcement Tags for your vehicle.

Our mission

The mission of the International Police Association is to create bonds of friendship and to promote national and international co-operation between retired and active police officers around the world.

To continue the development of cultural relations among the members through an exchange of professional experience, training, fraternalism, and ideas while contributing, within the limits of the IPA's framework, to all law enforcement officers.

The International Police Association is an independent body made up of members of the police service, whether on active duty or retired, without distinction as to rank, sex, race, color, language or religion.


It is through unity, community, and education that we further our organization.

UNITY: To unite in service and friendship all active and retired members of law enforcement service throughout the world in other countries.

COMMUNITY: To arrange exchange, rest and recreational programs, communication, friendship group visits.
